Onur Özkaynak is a third-year doctoral student in Multilingual Language Education at the Ohio State University, USA. He obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Bilkent University, Ankara, Türkiye, and his Bachelor of Arts in English Language Teaching from Gazi University, Ankara, Türkiye. Additionally, he is a holder of the Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA) from Cambridge University. Prior to joining OSU, he taught English as a foreign language at the college level in Turkey for eight years. Currently, he holds the position of President of the Graduate Student Working Group for Foreign Language Research and Teaching (FLRT).
Language teacher education, language ideologies, educational sociolinguistics, Global Englishes, and multilingual language education. As a speaker of Turkish, he is also interested in the maintenance of Turkish as a heritage language.
