INTRODUCTION

Qazi is a development practitioner, policy analyst and an academic. He is also the Founding Director of the Youth Center for Research. He has worked extensively in the education sector with government ministries in Pakistan, higher education institutions, non-profit organizations, and the World Bank.

He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Education Policy as a Fulbright Scholar. He previously holds master’s in Public Policy & Public Administration as a Chevening Scholar.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

In academic capacity, he has taught Social Development& Policy to undergraduate students offering courses such as Education Planning, Pakistan Institutions & Youth, Public Policy, Economy of Modern Sindh among others. He has worked with and for underserved children for equitable education for all and to facilitate their transition to higher education.

He holds keen interest in interdisciplinary approaches to education such as politics of education, urban development and education implications and social networks of education progression. His doctoral research focuses on human capital development and its significance for developing countries against the context of international development, globalization, and skilled labor migrations.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Youth mobilizing, human capital development, social networks, skilled-worker migrations, social mobility, youth unemployment and equity, education policy analysis.
